Design
Bring D&V your ideas, sketches and let us create for you a 3D Model with our SolidWORKS Office Professional software. A true 3D Model will enable you to better visualize your idea or product. It will allow us to design your product around our strengths & equipment capability. We will provide logical joint locations, to best utilize material usage, adequate clearances and proper fit to ensure your product will function better than you have imagined. All of this before the first part is cut!!
Once the product meets your requirements a full set of engineering prints can be provided at time of delivery.
Laser Cutting
We were one of the first firms in the Indianapolis area to offer 2D laser cutting, starting back in 1990. Our operators are factory trained and have many years of on-the-job experience to handle virtually every type material, including rubber, ceramic, aluminum, hastalloy and many others. Taking full advantage of our laser cutting capability has allowed us to utilize our machines in many different ways. A few of these would include low cost, short run form and stamp tooling, tab & slot fabrication methods and close tolerance fuse welding of stainless steel and mild steel.
CNC Forming
Precision hydraulic press brake forming is an essential capability when close tolerance & repeatability are demanded. We can form up to 14’ lengths of 1/8” stainless steel. Shorter lengths in heavier material are also possible. Our Cincinnati Auto FORM press brakes are equipped with 6-axis back gages and Auto crown. Multi-bend parts are easily completed in one handling utilizing the 6-axis gauging. The Auto-crown feature compensates for ram flex when forming of longer bends. This feature ensures the form angle is consistent anywhere along the length of the bend. We utilize precision ground tooling to ease setup time, increase repeatability over differing lot of material and to minimize tooling marks inherent to the process. Large radius bends can be completed using a “bump form” technique when hard tooling and/or roll forming is unavailable.
Welding
Proper welding methods ensure conformance to required specifications. Correct choice of welding methods can provide your product with the aesthetics required of the most demanding customer while ensuring proper fusion. We utilize the following types of welding to meet your requirements.
GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc - TIG) – direct current & alternating current.
GMAW (Gas Metal Arc – MIG) – short circuit transfer, spray & pulsed spray.
50KVA Resistance Welding (Spot) of steel / stainless steel up to 1/8” thick.
Our welding department can provide a solution to your every need. Using these noted types or variation allows us to weld all types of materials. Even dissimilar materials can be welded as repair work may dictate.
